Choices, Choices...

Finally sold the Rotax Max go-kart and have a few pounds spare to lavish on my RS...

Decided that the big project for this year is suspension, seeing as last year was safety and restoration (cage & wheel refurbish), and I have narrowed my choices down to three kits:

KW Suspension:
Option 1 - KW Variant 3 Coilover Kit
Option 2 - KW Clubsport Coilover Kit

H&R Suspension:
Option 1 - H&R Clubsport Coilover Kit

Pricewise there is not much in it and after talking to KW they have suggested their Clubsport kit is a better choice compared to the Variant 3 option, but it does not come with a warranty as they know it will be abused on tracks etc.

Don't know anything about H&R at all!

So advice, guidance, experience would be greatly appreciated as I am sure there are a few RS's out there that have had replacement springs and dampers.

Thanks for listening and hopefully enlightnment.

Ollie,

I have the dual spring H&R setup by PSI and I can highly recommend it. Corner weighing is a necessity once fitted.

See you in Spa late May?

I'll look into the PSI setup, cheers for that.

Ollie,
as you probably know i have the variant 3 kit fitted to my RS , there was no clubsport option when i was buying mine (at least i was'nt told about it when enquiring). I am more than happy with it . It great on track and also makes the car better on road too imho. I have yet to play with the settings at all so there is a lot of scope for fine tuning. I also fitted the powerflex front wishbone kit at the same time the combination works well. There is of course nothing wrong with fitting brand new original parts which will make a lot of difference too.
