Christmas cards from OPC?

Hi guys,

I was wondering whether OPCs send out Christmas cards or presents to customers?

I ordered my 718 Cayman in September and I don't really hear anything from my salesman. The only time I hear from him is when I go into the centre.

On Facebook I see that lots of people seem to get cards/gifts from their OPCs... perhaps I've bought my car from the wrong one!!

When I bought my first new car, an MGF back in 1997, they would always send out cards, gifts, magazines etc. I really liked that and thought something similar would happen with Porsche.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks,
Richard.

nope, never had one or a Xmas gift. Got a small gift with each of the 4 cars I've bought over the past 4 years but nothing at Xmas. Think it must be reserved for the favoured few ;)

never heard of the you can pick up magazines like christophorus etc.. i did see the american guy who got a bottle of wine i thonk if you buy a 918 maybe you will get a keyring lols

Had my Christmas present from the PC today. They fitted two front tyres to the turbo, supplied by me, and N2 filled FOC.[:)] As a Region we get so much throughout the year from our PC I'm not bothered about personal cards or gifts at Christmas.[;)]

did not get a card from my local opc (Cardiff)(can't fault Cardiff though as i always get invites to car launches and events),had one from opc Tonbridge,(I bought my 981 from them 6 months ago)

That makes me feel better then, I just thought my OPC were ignoring me.

Jarmin mentioned picking up Christophorus magazine, do we not get that as Porsche owners? I was hoping to get it as part of the ownership experience.

Am am I asking too much from Porsche šŸ˜‰

yes, you should get Christophorus through the post after you take ownership of your car. New one arrived just this morning :)

I collected my new 718 cayman S PDK from Aberdeen OPC last Wednesday. I received a boxed 911RS coffee set and a pair of personal reg number plates in the hatchback ready to fit when I transfer the number over in the new year. I also had a free geo set up done during the PDI according to my preferences FOC.

No Christmas card from OPC Aberdeen, but that is not an issue for me. I'm a "Bah Humbug!" type at this time of the year.

New car looking good. I'll post a photo after storm Barbara has moved on.

I'll forgive the lack of Christmas cards over the last 16 years and 6 new Porsches if I can be promoted to the customer base allowed to buy the next Cayman GT4. ;-)

Amen to that!

I likewise missed out on the GT4 allocation with my former OPC after 3 987 Caymans. Changed the dealership to one closer to home.

I've defected to the new 4 pot Turbo CS PDK. More info will follow in due course.........

Just bought a Mercedes A45 AMG and received a christmas card from the dealer, a rain jacket that I suggested would be nice and also a M&S voucher.

We will see what customer service is like going forward never bought a Merc before.

OPC ... I`m hoping that the lack of a card will result in improved feedback to my inquiries !

Merc ... we are also first timers and unfortunately the service is the worst that I have ever encountered, thankfully there are a few decent, practical guys behind the scenes that get things done. The car though (A45 AMG) is stunning !!!

Just had an e-mail wishing me all the best and season's greetings from Sheffield Porsche Centre. ( I replied and took the opportunity to remind them of the GT4 on my next Christmas list!)
