Christmas 'Do'

Hi everybody

Following a vote at last week's meeting, our Regional Christmas 'Do' will be held at The Owl, Hambleton on Saturday 16th January. Officially, The Owl don't do Christmas meals after 9th January but have made an exception in our case.

Cost is likely to be £15 per person (to be finally confirmed) and as in previous years we will arrange music for those of us inclined to dance and (hopefully) a huge raffle. The Owl have asked for a £5 deposit per person by early December so we will be collecting this at the November and December Meetings.

Rooms are available on a first come, first served basis for those wanting to stay overnight. We have yet to agree rates with The Owl (the management has changed completely over the last few weeks so a little more negotiation is needed this year) but are likely to be in the region of £50 - £60 for a double room with breakfast. Please let me know as soon as you can if you require a room as the number available is obviously limited.

We are thinking of a 'theme' for this year's event and will let you know what we decide. In the meantime please either post here, let me know by e-mail or phone or speak to me at the next event / meeting if you would like to join us. The last two years parties have been great so let's try and make 2009's even better!

Hi Ian & Sharon, Would love to come along to the Christmas party again in January. Also need a room for the night. Looking forward to it already. Will pay deposit and next month's meeting. Best Regards John & Patricia Oakes

Hi folks, Just to remind you, we will be collecting payments for the Christmas meal at our meeting on Wednesday 2nd December. The cost is £15 per person and any cheques should be made payable to Marstons plc (not I & S Gilmour!). We already have a draft list of people who want rooms but will firm these up together with the room tariff on Wednesday. Don't forget that we will also be having a quiz and raffle as well as mince pies and chocolates on Wednesday so we hope you can make it.
