So, any ideas this year gang ?

I'm happy to organise / support someone else's idea of a great idea, or indeed, just "wait for it to happen to me"....

Any offers ?
Ideas ?
Takers ?

Time is pressing - all the good venues, and clever people are booking now.

Let's jump to it !!

HELLOOOOOO

I saw this from another region, and began to wonder is ANYONE THERE ??

Christmas Dinner
As I have already received cheques for 37 Christmas dinner bookings I thought I should remind everyone that space is limited. The booking procedure for the last 19 places can be found on the bottom left of page 78 in September's Porsche Post. A list of confirmed bookings can be found at the bottom of this

Karen and I are down for the Christmas dinner at Sywell if its on.

I thought that it was a definate and Michelle had already booked it. Have I misunderstood? Karen has been ebaying like mad and got her whole outfit!

Last year was a great evening and I very much recommed it to all.

Cheers

Andy

I thought Sywell had changed the theme this year - Batman & Robin or James Bond or Elvis, but definitely not 40's. Does Ebay have a returns policy? [:)]

Depending on numbers I thought we might consider a drive out to Gerry Stonehills Individual "Mason Arms" at South Leigh near Witney. Unfortunately it is definitely no kids, I doubt very much whether they would accomodate a 'fat free' individual's strict diet and they don't accept credit card. However we can arrive by helicopter and smoke ourselves silly on Havannas. [8|]

Alternatively, choices are the Birch in Woburn (excellent bok) or White Horse in Maulden (superb salads).

So, does this mean you are stepping up to the plate and organising the R10 Xmas event ? - GREAT

What dates are they free ?
How much per head ?
Who do we make the deposit to ?

It's very probable that both venues above would be much more "family" oriented than venues like Sywell.

P.S. Michele and I are still organising a Sywell "do" (coz we love a bit of a grin by wearing fancy dress etc) but will not make this an R10 specific event. We hope to see many previous R10(a) folks along for the jape, but will not be calling it the "R10 Xmas Event" - hope that makes sense.

Sorry guys for missing everything lately, am run off my feet at the minute but things will hopefully settle down end of this month. Having said that, new baby end of November so maybe I am being way too optimistic! Unlikely to do Sywell as it would be a solo mission (not a good plan lol).

Later dudes...

We are interested in a do at Christmas as well but to be honest I am fresh out of ideas. which ever way it goes put us down for two

Cheers

Pete

Not having attended last year, I obviously can't comment, but Sywell sounds a hoot!

Of course, depending on the dates that are available, Myself and Denise will probably put our names down.

Waddeson - great - are you now saying you will organise this or just throwing ideas out there... ?

Ideas = easy.

Implementation / execution = hard, and frightens most people away....

We're not organising any "R10" Xmas event this year, preferring to make way for better / fresher ideas from all around the region. Democracy in action. !

Can't wait !

Brilliant Sue, and many thanks. Not only for putting into the pot, but actually for daring to pick up the phone and organise something.

Now, the realt fun begins...trying to get others to think it's as good an idea as you do, and having them book up in droves !

Are you coming to the meeting on sunday night ? Perhaps if you have something prepared we might discuss ?
