In our regional report this month a key phrase has been left out completely reversing the meaning of the sentence. Within the bullet points the phrase should read "the cost of three course meal will be btween £24-£26 with tea and coffee at regional expense", and not imply that the expense of the meal will be borne by the region. It won't! What is more, if I was to offer this, I would be stepping outside the regional organisers remit and guide lines. It is particularly embarrassing for me and embarrasing for the club because in this months PP I have had to make a correction for my own error, and now I have to point out the mistake in editing my submission for publication.
To reiterate, depite what is implied or even stated in our regional report, the regions budget will not be picking up the tab for the cost of the meal, just the tea and coffee.
My pre-emptive thanks go to James Mahoney and probably Colin Fowel who will no doubt email me imminently with news of this error.
I have spoken to club office and given them some robust feedback and have recieved a sincere apology from the actual person concerned so let us draw a line underneath it and move on.
Best regards
