CHRISTMAS NIGHT OUT DECEMBER 6TH

We are hoping to do something a little different this year and have booked The Market Place Restaurant for the night in Malton, North Yorkshire.

As many of you will know this is owned by John Hawkins of Specialist Cars and I thought it would be a good idea to show our regions support and have our Christmas meal there.

The dining will be in a private room for us and we will be spending the night at the nearby Old Lodge Hotel where John has kindly arranged a discounted rate.

The rooms will be £100 for a double room and £62 for a single including a full English breakfast [:D].

I need numbers in ASAP with a limit of 20 so if you are interested put a line on this thread and for further details take a look at the following websites;

Put me down for 2 please Nick - I presume the hotel is within staggering distance from the restaurant ?!
Chris

This is now full folks so if you haven't contacted me and had it confirmed then you're not on the list, if in doubt drop me a line and I will let you know [:D]

24 in total which is magic, should be a cracking weekend, thanks for all your support and thanks to John Hawkins who has sorted out all the details

Cheers [:D][:D]

Spoke to Tanya today (Johns better half) and she is asking for a £15 deposit per head for next month if possible, I will collect them and give her a cheque for the full amount. Thought it worth mentioning now 'cos if you are going to Johns on Sunday I can take deposits then [:D]

Cheers

We have had one couple pull out of this now so before I cancel the room at the lodge does anyone else wish to join us please [:D]

Also the hotel are willing to give the same deal for the Friday night and a few of us are staying for the two nights so should be a good weekend, there are plenty of rooms left if you want to book just ring Christine on 01653690570

cheers

Nick,
forgive my impatience, but I understood you were going to post the menu for the Christmas night out on the site.[8|]

I have booked the hotel for the Friday night also. I tried to ring them but only got the answering machine. They didn't ring me back so I booked over the "net" and had an E-mail confirmation. Not very proffesional in my opinion however I'm sure it will work out in the end. [;)]

Ian I will email you the menu! Haven't got round to it yet but theres no rush, they don't need to know until the week before.

If I was you I would keep ringing them and confirm you have the same rate for the Friday as the Saturday night, I spoke to Christine this morning and sorted out mine [;)]

Any last minute instructions Nick or do we just turn up and meet in the hotel bar ?
(We will see you in the bar on Fri eve !!)
Chris

No last minute instructions Chris [:)] ckeck in any time after 2pm, will see you in the bar tomorrow evening [;)] and I hope this weather sorts itself out, not particularly porsche friendly.......!

What a cracking weekend [:D] thanks to all of you for taking part and making it so memorable, excellent hotel, great company and The Market Place restaurant was superb, our thanks to John, Tanya and his staff for their hard work.
