Christmas special - Free oil change at GT1

All seems very quiet in here at the moment, there must be a lot of xmas shopping going on?!..

Anyway, down to business.. I (well my car) won the loudest 964 competition at Ragley in the summer, and the prize was a free oil change at GT1 in Chertsey (sp?) which im pretty sure is in Surrey. The deal is they will do the oil change for free, but you provide the filter and oil yourself

My car came off the road early this year as I had the offer of a brake rebuild and a full refurb of my dampers for a price I couldn't refuse. I am currently snowed under at work, and desperatly trying to finish renovating a house so I can move in the summer, and currently its looking like the porsche will be off the road for a little while..

So in the spirit of Christmas (and not wishing to mess GT1 about by keeping them hanging indefinitely) I'm offering the prize here to anyone who wants it..

There is a catch; I would like a charity donation of £10 (or more if you're feeling flush)
I'll leave it upto the "winner" to choose the charity, but will sugest Oxfam; might be a nice gesture to purchase something from their Christmas shop, perhaps a tenners worth of school dinners, some seeds, school books or whatever, in the name of PCGB..

If anyones interested, please drop me a message in this thread

Ben

Well good on you for getting into the spirit of things mate !!

Makes me realise I'm trying to join the right circle of car owners !! [:D]

Nice one

your cars in safe hands [;)]
currently calipers are with ebc for a re-build, and the damper bodies are being kitted out with new spring seats and refurbed by eibach in south leicestershire, hopefully fitted out with s/s brake lines and braided hoses over the winter and back on the road for the spring, although the way things are going the amount of work might increase, and the timeline stretch out a bit due to work/diy..

i see you have a 745i now Steve?!.. I had a black 545iSE for a while; hell of an engine, dms got mine up to 388bhp! awesome car, miles better than the M5 mostly down to kinder suspension, less in your face styling and a decent autobox.. 7 series version must be superb [:D]

Miss that car; black on black, 20" ovoid 7 spoke wheels, de-chromed, limo tint rear, 60% fronts, and de-badged.. very sleek and understated, but with massive grunt.. Did Monaco to Calais in 10hrs (door to door inc fuel stops) last autumn in total comfort.. I even got 26mpg from it over the course of the 8 months I had it too which is amazing for a 4.4 petrol!..

Hi Ben, I know we're going off on one here but you're right, the BMW745 is fantastic - pretty well as fast as my Boxster but it means you can scare five people in one go rather than just two at a time - and in near silence. This IDrive thing is a bit too complicated though, even though you can adjust suspension settings etc. I've just had it converted to LPG which means I'm now paying 49p/litre for my juice, which gives an equivalent of around 43mpg. Which is nice.
I'm sure you're doing the right thing with the 964: should be a seriously nice car and prices seem to be hardening right now.
Steve

20" ovoid 7 spoke wheels,

My, that must give a bumpy ride, wouldn't you have been better with round ones?

[:D][:D][:D]

These ones smartie pants [;)]
and they're 5 not 7 spoke (the short term memory's shot from all the business trips to amsterdam [:D] )
