Cigarette Lighter

The cigarette lighter is not working on my car, which is a pain as the sat-nav only lasts 2 hours without a recharge. The fuse appears to be OK. The whole unit came out of the facia a few weeks back and I just pushed it back in again so I assume it has a rigid connection to the electrics, but does it in fact have spade connectors which have become disconnected? Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
Yes, I know the answer is to revert to map-reading.

It just plugs into a couple of spade slots behind the dash. Check the spring clip inside has not detached from the lighter. This happened to mine I replaced mine with one off ebay and it is and easy 5 min job.
