my stone guard (I think it is called Wurth?) at the bottom of the front wing has lifted and bubbled. Its only a small bubble, maybe the size of a 10p coin.

My question is, am I ok to leave it as it doesnt look that bad. Or is it likely to be rusting underneath and therefore not to have it fixed now would be a big mistake in the long run?

 
It will be much worse underneath unfortunately. Get it stripped off to get a look as it will onyl get worse; possibly quite quickly when the weather worsens.
