THe National Trust are organising a Classic Car Day at Killerton House, on the edge of Exeter on Sunday the 30th May 2010.

The day will run from 10.00am until 5.00pm set in the lovely grounds of the Killerton Estate with the sound of live Jazz played by the "Band of Gold" The cost to exhibitors is £6 per car which includes all passengers and free admission to the house and gardens.

The R15 Commttee wonder if there is any interest from those with older cars in attending this. If you are please post here and we can arrange a joint entry form

Can you believe it my lovely wife has just scuffed a newly re-furbed wheel again just been in touch with a 4x4 centre to buy her a truck can't come quick enough Paul

Paul You have my sympathies. Still saves trying to weld a tow bar onto the 911 for the horsebox !! My wife has long been banished to the 4x4 rather than letting her loose with the Porsche. Love them though !!!!! Regards

I put it down to poor training. [:D] Quite happy to let Mrs C loose in mine! See you tomorrow - looks like a sunny one!

Allen you can have her for a day to train in how park a porsche properly 2ft off the curb Just had the stage 2 revo done very impressed with the low to mid range pick up,also flat spot has gone,Tanya drove it for one minute she come back and said IT'S NO DIFFERENT I think she needs a turbo. Paul

It looks like Mrs C has found other (more important, apparently) things to do tomorrow so there will be a spare seat if Tanya wants a ride in the turbo![:)]

Funny you should say that,we we're only talking about that today if Tanya could swap with brenda for a little while She really will want one after the experience, bearing in mind she did feel a bit queezy after the gt2 experience She will love it

Hi Tony: Would be interested in a day at Killerton - but it would have to be a day for all ages of cars not just classic - you may get a better response if you opened it up. Also, a bank holiday weekend may not be the best choice of day to go. Regards, Chris and Pat

Chris and Pat Thanks. Unfortunately the event is organised by the National Trust and therefore we have no say in the date. It is also advertised as a classic car event so I suspect they would be seeking cars of 25 -30 years old. I think on balance we do not have enough support or old enough vehicles to justify attending as a region. It was just a thought. Lets ensure we have a good turnout for Powderham in July. Thanks for your interest.

Tanya's truck has finally arrived,no more wheel scuffs and a lot less mileage on the car, should save at least 800 miles a month[:D]

Paul I think there are 12 - 15 booked in. Fingers crossed for the weather. See you there.
