Evening all - nice drive in the 944 today. Stopped off at WH Smiths to pick up the new Classic Cars - on page 25 (Market News) Richard Rawlingson of Nadder Valley Classics in Wilts, when asked "Where are the investment opportunities ?" answers "I think that cars like the Porsche 944 can only go up in price - they are criminally cheap at the moment". Made me smile.

In a similar vein. I am astounded at how much Audio Quatros are fetching compared to our 944s.
Every time I look at mine, I can't helping thinking that I got a hell of a car for £3K
Sure it needs work doing that I can't afford right now. But at the end of the day, it cost so little

Quattros took a hike up of course because of Ashes to Ashes and Integrales seem to have increased in value after the Top Gear Lancia feature of a couple of series back. If only they would do a serious piece about the front engined Porsches rather than sticking them in various banger items we might see a similar improvement in values....
Yes I know JC waxed lyrical on one of his DVD's a couple of years ago about the 944 Turbo "truly a great car" but thats not quite the same sadly.

I often think " they have to go up as the certainly cant go down" , then i think ah but no one buys juicy cars because petrol is going silly. Then I pinch myself and try to remember there are plenty of Aston or Jag V8 and V12 cars worth hundreds of thousands of pounds so what am I talking about [
] . Long term ( very) I think we're on a winner.
