Classic Insurance - 3.2

I saw this on the 996 thread, so thought I would add it to the 3.2 thread. I was amazed to gain varying quotes (both price and benefits) from different companies. This I think will help others:

Insurance Company/Underwriter: AON Classic 08705 708090
Premium: £199.20 + 5% ins tax + claims service = £216.66
Excess (Accident and theft): £250 / £250
Notes: if you add your wife on, providing she is not a lunatic driver, your quote will be lowered by about 10%...even if you never let her drive it! Reason for this is statistically they have fewer accidents and claims.

Recently renewed my policy, AON quoted around £380 with limited mileage of 3k per annum. Ended up going with A Manning £290 5k miles per annum. Your quote is very low [:D] especially with 6 points.

I know, I was really surprised....especially as they gave me unlimited mileage for free!

Aon are good, I was with them with my 912, problem is their classic policy is for vehicles 20+ yrs, mines an 88 Carrera so they could only offer me a regular policy which came in at around £850.

I switched to Lancaster, £440, NCBs not required, limited to 7k miles, age: 33, no points/convictions, 1 fault claim 2 yrs ago.
