classic ipod

Good afternoon everybody, (slightly daunted, new member, first post) I`ve been watching classic radios on Ebay and it seems it`s possible to plug an ipod into the socket that was originally intended for an 8 track. Does anybody know what type of cable I would need and where I might get one ?
