Cleaning of Plastic Screens - Hindsight

Michael

Not me. I'm still using the Porsche product that came with the car which does a very good job.

However a BAS hood is on the wish list. [8D]

i use hindsight myself, it is good but dusty stuff so dont get it on the fabric, mask off the roof edges with masking tape

Might sound a stupid question, but can you only buy the porsche stuff from OPC?

I think that is the case but they will send you stuff.

I use it, excellent product, the results are oustanding on very dull or discoloured screens.

You can use it on the outer and inner face.

At the risk of horrifying you all, I have found that normal Mr Sheen furniture polish is marvellous for cleaning the plastic screen! It won't remove scratches because there's no cutting paste in it. But what it does do, is remove the grime that has become engrained in the pores of the plastic causing the screen to become cloudy. And since it contains silicone, it helps lubricate the screen to maintain it's flexibility.

I know that some of you will now be in deep shock [:D]. But, don't knock it until you've tried it (I'm sure many will not dare). My screen has been a revelation since using it.

I'm not knocking it - I wax my car with Turtle Wax! [&:]
