Cleaning Sport Design Rims

Hi,

Anyone else got Sport Design wheels fitted? If so, how do you keep the insides clean - without removing the wheels from the car on each occasion? The spokes and rim aren't difficult - but time consuming; however, I haven't found an easy way of getting behind the spider to clean the inside flat area of the rim. My hand will only just fit through the largest gap in the spokes but no more. Help - please.

Zymol wheel cleaner and brush & a long handled flat wheel cleaning brush from Helfords. Very quick and easy . My 10 year old daughter does it for a couple of £ every week. Honestly she does a great job in about 40 mins. Can't recommend the Zymol clean enough. Its fantastic

Thanks for the tip, I was going to whip my wheels off and do it the long hand way but a trip to Halfords sounds much more appealing !

Do you Zymol the whole car too ? If so, is it that much better than Autoglym ?

No contest.
Zymol is much safer to use on the car.
Fumes from the wheel cleaner are quite pleasant whereas most others try to rip your lungs out! I buy Zymol either on line or if you are going to Eynsham Hall meeting you'll find at least one stand selling it. Normally I buy several products and haggle.

Gary,

The reason I ask is that although I have used Autoglym for several years and have been careful in its application and generally happy with the results, the Zymol voice is never the less calling.

Where does a novice begin ?

Oh, and what about Meguairs ?

Hi, yes I do use Zymol on the car. It's a lot easier to use then Auto Glem, once you have the hang of it. Personally I think the results are far better. There are lots of treads on the subject on the forum . Try a search. Happy cleaning. Try the link brlow, lots of info

The great thing about the premium Zymol waxes is the fact that you apply literraly by hand. There is little chance of grit being rubbed into the paintwork and the waxes are great for dry skin.

great to hear so many of you guys using Zymol on here, please feel free to drop me a line if you need any tips, they are always free

Marc, I don't think that Glynn was 'touting for business'; rather he was offering the membership the benefit of his experience - for free. That is a generous gesture - and not one that you are entitled to dismiss, unless you've become a moderator? Interesting to note that, despite your most recent comment, you offer a link to 'John's Wax earlier in this thread!

Hardly the same. I was simply providing a link to a site that has the information that a member would find helpful and of no benefit to me directly or indirectly. I still believe that Glen is indirectly touting for business and shouldn't be on the forum. In my opinion the forum wouldn't make for such interesting reading if I had to sift through various forms of advertising.
