clear indicator lenses for Turbo?

danmason

Hi - I' m interested in changing the indicator lenses on the front bumper of my turbo for clear, colourless lenses, behind which I would then have orange bulbs. Simply to match with the rest of the lights on the bumper.

However, the only replacement lenses I have been able to source are opaque " white" lenses that really aren' t my style - anyone know where I would be able to get the clear ones?

Thanks

Dan

Dan - are these what you' re looking for?

They are, yes, but unfortunately I was hoping to find something available for a little less money! Thanks for the speedy reply. [:D]

I know he posts on here and is quite helpful, but I reckon Essential buy them in the wrong place. The same lenses are available here for about ÂŁ75 IIRC http://groups.msn.com/Porsche944Sverige/dinwebbsida2.msnw

They also do cool rear lenses with the orange lens in clear - no price though...

[Edited to retract my initial negative comment that Simon was gracious enough to ignore!]

Hi all, I am on to this, thanks to one of your listers posting me details. I am currently purchasing the sets that I sell at way above what this guy is retailing for.
If I can contact him and bulk buy my price will drop considerably, I make 1000Kr to be approx ÂŁ75 so I expect to match that or preferably beat it by some, once I have a discount in place.

I have also requested details of the clear rears as well so I will keep you posted.

Thanks & Regards, Simon

Latest update is that I have agreed to talk to Joachim this evening to see what we can agree for bulk purchase. Lets hope its good as I have been trying to source this product for over a year and also tried to get them manufactured myself but costs were prohibitive.

Best Regards, Simon

In that case I apologise for suggesting your mark-up was excessive. Possibly sorry enough to buy a set... [;)]

Serious question now, if you do stock them would you consider selling them individually? - I' ve lost count of the number of 944 indicator lenses I' ve cracked over the years.

i think i might just be able to have my arm twisted too, i have been after theese for a while but with no sucess. those rear lamps look pretty damn cool too!!!

I got some from essential styling after looking at them all weekend at Eynsham,

For the lenses current price contact Simon at Essential Styling, he was trying to get the price down, but was having a couple of difficulties. The bulbs came from my local motorists discount centre but they have ofset 'nobbles' on the bulbs, rather than the usual 180 degree spacing, I cut off a noble with sidecutters and the single noble went into the holder the reminder of the cut nobble creates enough friction for the bulb to stay in place. Alternatively Demon Tweeks do them - I think with the correct spacing, though I am not certain. Orange bulbs from Halfords also have the offset nobble.
