Clear Light Lenses

Hi
I am thinking of changing the lenses on my 2000 Boxster to the later clear type. So far the best deal I have is around £800, this includes front and rear light units as well as the side repeaters.
Does anyone know of a cheaper way to source the items and if any has fitted them I would be grateful to hear if it is an easy job or needs to be done professionally.
Thanks

Hi Ivorwood,

Just recently converted my Boxster to the clear lights but with Litronics, but had found prices for the standard clear light kits. They were as follows

www.forestfine.co.uk - £692.96 (price from 1 month ago, maybe different now. Site is down so couldn't check
www.porscheshop.co.uk - £703.83
www.jasmine-motorsport.co.uk - £816.63
www.paulfrench.co.uk - £821.33

design911.co.uk has various packages with different type of rear lights from standard to bling LED types. Not sure if the standard are OE or OEM.

Fitted all my lights myself. Only took aroundhalf an hour and that was being cautious. The front lights are amazingly simple. Just ensure you have the headlight removing tool that comes with the standard toolkit.

Hi,

I'm looking to downgrade my 2001 Boxster 'S' factory fit litronic headlights to std ones in a couple of weeks.

Before you ask, and think i'm mad, the car is mainly for track use so they can go to a better home and I wont feel bad if a stone chips an original one.

From looking at various forums, they seem to be a straightforward reto fit. My car has headlight washers so the corner filler pieces will have hole in though.

Send me PM if interested.

regards

GarryG
