Clear repeaters

I tried a search on this but it didn't yield anything. I've bought 2 sets of clear side repeaters and neither set fit, tbh they're miles out! I even started sanding a bit back to make one set fit but i think id have to cut off the clip and reattach it closer in. Has anyone bought any that have just fit straight on? And if so, where from?

Cheers

I had the same problem with mine, although I did get them to fit ok after trimming the 'hook' clip at one side. I got them off ebay, let me know if you want the sellers details & I'll see if I can find them.

I got mine from Need for Speed as I recall. Golf ones don't fit, though lots of people will tell you they do; same as the door handles in fact.

There must be some variation in the golf ones as i had the clears fitted and these were from a mk2 golf which fitted straight on without any modification .

I was given a bag of various coloured ones by my mate who used to break Golf GTIs (MK1 and Mk2, he wasn't interested in the mediocre Mk3) to try and they didn't fit.

I don't think it was insurmountable and could maybe have been adapted by trimming the light, but it's so long ago I forget the details now.

Ive heard this as well about trimming them but i bought mine for a D reg golf gti from demon tweeks i think they were made by in-pro .I fitted them to the golf but removed them when i sold it and fitted them straight into my 944 ,the only difference i can think of is my car was a pre-oval dash model so maybe the later dash cars are different but saying that the clear repeaters also fitted the 968 wings as well.
