Clear windscreen - a 944 recommendation

Morning All !

I have for sometime struggled with/ been annoyed with the lack of cleaning and continued smearing of the windscreen on the 951. With the weather being dry and bright for so many weeks I've been using it as a daily driver for the Park N ride/pedal commute into Cambridge.

Anyhow, I can now thoroughly recommend and endorse the following combination for a very clear and smear free windscreen:

1. Install a brand new set of Bosch Aero twin wiper blades - code AR19U - available from Halfrauds and associated Fleabay sellers
2. Liberally coat the screen in rain-X 2 in 1 glass cleaner/rain repellent - was on offer @ said retailer..... then clean N dry windscreen with kitchen roll.

This has worked superbly for me !

Chris

hey chris,,,
thanks for that,,,,
i always thought that interior was lovely as i mentioned to you many years ago,,,
bit like marmite,,,love it or hate it,,,,,

That Rain X stuff is very good, I purchased it when I had a spate of wiper problems on a 944 - losing wipers in a really heavy down poor whilst going at motorway speeds does tend to leave a lasting impression! I've continued to use it since, both on the inside and outside of glass. There are possibly better cleaners, but it seems to do the job very well and does give you a fair chunk of the Rain X benefits without the hassle of having to apply a second coat.
