Clicking noise when turning

Does anybody else have, or know the cause of, a clicking noise when on near full lock. Seems to be turning left only and sounds like there's a stone in the tread (but there isn't!)
Posrsche Boxster S 2001 986.

Just checked and the tyres aren't catching on either side. I also can't see any wear on the trim or top of the suspension guard, as these seem to be the closest contact points. It's no big issue, just concerned that if it's a developing problem i'd rather nip it in the bud early rather then let it get progressively worse.

Does the problem still occur if you have the indicator going? I had a problem with a BMW that was linked to the indicator lever.

never thought of it being internal actually. always seemed to be a distant noise rather than just a quiet one. think i might of tried it with the roof down at one point and it seemed to be louder, but that might be my imagination more than fact. will find a roundabout and spend a few hours going round it until i can decifer more accurately where the noise is coming from??
thanks
