Clipped kerb stone with my sill - sprayshop experiences

Hi, completeley unsighted a very large kerb stone and made contact with my passenger side sill (slight dent and down to metal), does anyone have good or bad recomendations for the Official OPC bodyshops at Cambs, Nottingham or Silverstone as all are the same distance from my home.

Lesson learned
Look before you leap (into your C2S and pull away).
Cayenne and Boxster have kerb clearance, C2S with sport suspension couldn't clear a blade of grass.

Cheers

not sure if things have changed but as far as I know OPC Cambridge is the only Porsche Centre with an in-house bodyshop, all others use external companies.

Nottingham is Selbys. Not just Porsche shop. I used Shorade in Cannock which did a great job but not cheap.
Regards
Neil

I had Shorades in Cannock do an Insurance from a rear end shunt in my 996.
They provided excellent service and repair...[:)]

I did a very similar thing in my 996 with the lower sill... luckily the TT its a plastic lower sill, so a £90 clip on replacement, I do feel your pain as at the time I thought " that would be nasty with a non plastic lower section" [:'(]

I used Reynolds Of Rushock and they were excellent. I had better comments about them at the time. Not had to compare two against each other myself, thank goodness and fingers crossed. Good Luck with the fix.

I use a small bodyshop in Hilton which is a small village between Cambridge and Huntingdon. It doesn't look much from the outside but these guys do fantastic work and are used by Murketts BMW in Huntingdon and Porsche Cambridge for any overspill work they have. They did a superb job for me on a Ferrari 360 I used to own and have done very high quality work for relatives of mine on BMW's. Their rates are extremely good as well.

I have used the OPC in Cambridge - no complaints. Speak to the body shop manager Gary Sorrell - he runs part of the 996 Register, I believe, and is always more than helpful as well as being friendly.

Gary wouldn't be too happy being called the body shop manager being the Aftersales Manager [;)] but yes, do contact Gary and say you are a member of PCGB and he will put in touch with the bodyshop...

Oops.

Mea culpa and apologies to Gary.

However, the fact remains that he is really helpful and charming.

Many thanks, for all your comments. I had Selby's look at it today and await the quote and am in at Cambs OPC tomorrow. Will feed back info. on how repair goes.
Gary - you made me smile as I was only just thinking how many cars I have had which had plastic sills covering a heavier metal structure behind, the 996 £90 would be a bargain methinks.

Cheers

Well Selby's and Cambs quotes came in and there was a grands difference so went with Cambs OPC as think loyalty pays off, Car was back in just over a week with a tremendous job so very satisfied and a big thank you to Simon (body shop Manager) and his team.
Typically after being away in sunny Wiltshire since the C2S came back it looks like the weather is going to be pants this weekend.
Saw a very nice C2S in Cobalt heading west (well fairly stationary) by Stonehenge this afternoon looked good in amongst the less well designed traffic!
