Clocks misting up

My rev counter and clock are misting up. This happens shortly into a journey so I'm guessing that as the cabin is warming up: the cold air in the clocks in condensing on the inside of the instrument glass. Do I need to replace the clocks or is it a matter of re-sealing them? Is there a seal kit I need to buy or do I just pull the clocks, open them up and put some sealant on the existing rubber seals?

Any hints on pulling the clocks and stripping them down would be useful.

Thanks and Cheers!

I'd suggest removing the gauges and placing them on a radiator over night (I have done this), which ought to dry out any condensation/water in the gauge, then pop them back and see how you go. No special tools are needed to remove the gauges, just a firm grip and a bit of care (don't rush).

Depending on where the car is parked now or has been in the past will be the cause of the condensation, cold and/or damp conditions. You'll never completely get rid of it but you may improve things by following the above.

Leave the side lights on when you are driving --- the heat of the bulb helps to clear any moisture.

And turn the brightness up !!

While irritating , should nt let it worry u too much its been happening to all 911 s new and old since the very beginning ....................u can drill holes and all sorts ............it will still mist up and as one who has 10 yr old and 35 year old Pork at the moment and have a had a variety in the past does nt do any real harm .
