Hi Mark

Is the Dec. club night still on ? Whats the weather like 'up north' ?

Its OK at the moment 'down south'

Randolph

Hi Randolph, I only live a couple of miles away from Hambleton and if the weather continues, I don't think the roads will be passable. Looking out of the window and blowing a blizzard at the moment. About 7 inches in my garden (the snow's quite deep too!!!) John

Hi Randolph

Can tell you what its like near Stamford Bridge - 10" snow with more falling at the moment - not been out since Friday - lots of roads closed including Garrowby hill today.

Forecast poor for tomorrow so unlikely that we would attend any meeting on Wednesday.

Best wishes for Christmas to everyone.

Rita & John

Doncaster is not as bad as some places, but not possible to get my Saab up and down my road let alone the Boxster.

I have just been into the centre of York and the main roads are skating rinks, I managed to power slide away from the traffic lights despite the high grip surface!

Taking what John has said about the roads around Selby and the state of things tonight plus the fact that things are not going to get better I think it is only sensible to cancel December's club night. I don't mind driving in snow but I don't think it is wise to head out Hambleton way in the current conditions.

Since I have prepared the Quiz already we will hold this over to February club night along with the prizes.

Can everyone please let me know if they are coming to the Christmas Party along with your choices from the menu by the end of the week. You will find the menu on the Christmas party thread link here.
