Club night Reminder and Events update

Hi Everyone

Just a reminder its Club night at the Old Ferryboat next Wednesday the 11th September 2013. Come along and join us and display your pride and joy. As ever NAT (News at Ten) will keep you upto date and no doubt someone will have a TOM (Tip of Month)and JON (Joke of Night). If you have something for the raffle table the will be much appreciated. The raffle raises funds for events which we can all enjoy.

Sunday 29th September 2013 Mystery Drive and Dine

Since we will not be attending the Sywell Pistons and Props event previously arranged for the 29th September 2014 we are in the process of organising a Mystery Drive and dine event.

At the point of writing its still a mystery where we will meet for the drive, where we will drive too and where will dine. I know it's a bit last minute but if you would like to join us please e mail me for details.


Events for 2014

Not a typo, yes 2014. Your committee have been busy putting together event for 2014. I hope by next Wednesday we will be able to bring some details of these. Thank you to those who have contributed with suggestions for events. All ideas will be considered by your committee so if you have and idea of an event or know someone who would make a good guest speaker at a winter Club Night please let myself or one of your committee know.

Regional WOTY LAON Historique 6th_ 9th June 2014

Committee member Mike Runnalls has kindly offered to organise the 2014 WOTY. Details in brief:-

LAON Historique

Date 6-9 June 2014

Cost £269 pp Hotel B&B and Ferry plus entry to event.

Location of Event LAON "" France

Accommodation at - Best Western "" Soissons .



This event offers you the chance along with other vintage, classic, sports and kit car from all over Europe to parade/drive your car. On Saturday register and collect your Rally plates and instructions for the event. On Sunday morning, all of the participating cars assemble in the old town ready for the highlight of the weekend, the "˜closed street run'. This is not a race or time trial but the route extends over 6kms and includes a hill climb with hairpin bends as you make your way to the old town centre. Spectators line the streets to watch the biggest cavalcade of classic cars and sports cars in Europe.
Mike has previously attended this event and thoroughly recommends the Best Western in Soissons which has secure underground parking. Our bonded tour operator has adapted this Tour especially to fit our requirements.
Want to join us? Pay your deposit now to secure your place! We have a limited number of reserved spaces 20 - 12 have already gone. Priority bookings for Regional members until October. After October non Regional members are welcome to join us. Full details on Club night or e mail me for Flyers and booking forms.
