Was going to go along but found I couldn't muster the enthusiasm to drag myself out of the warm to listen to a talk about car radios. [&o]

You were missed, but not the only one who didn't make it.

It was a surprisingly good talk and very interesting. We got to see some of the very latest Kenwood gear before its official lunch today at McLarens head offices (Kenwood are McLaren partners and do the F1 car to pit radios).

I was surprised how much the gear has come down in price. What seemed like super top end facillities are now avaialabe for a couple of hundred quid in units that don't look out of place in our cars.

I could have easily spent my pocket money.

BTW the word is Digital Radio is dead so don't waste your money.

.....or is everyone being ignorant???

How rude!

No Offecnce intended to anyone John just seems like no one was interested in letting me no, im sure there is more reghion 11 peple out there. I turned up but after looking at cars in the car opark recieved a phone call and had to rush off anyway [].

Once again no offence intended to anyone.

Having a look around the car park (at this time of year) gives little impression of the number of members or diversity of cars owned. I would estimate at least 50% turn up in their other cars.

It is difficult not to take offence at being called ignorant but if you put a Guiness in my hand next month I might get over it. [8|]

Hmmmmm....im sure i can stretch to a guiness on my next visit. Also John being as your local to me in the summer times do you meet around our area and go up in convoy? I saw a few 911's parked in Sainsburys last year prior to getting mini back on the road and they were all off to the club.

In honesty the monthly meetings are so close there is little point going in convoy to them. We do sometimes meet up if a group of us are going to a national event, it just depends who's going as to where we meet.
