Club Porsche De France Goodwood weekend 23rd ""24th June 2007

As a member of both the French club and our own PCGB I have been asked by my good friends within the French club to put together a weekend that will cover a visit to the Goodwood festival of speed on the Saturday followed by dinner and a driving tour of Kent with a lunch on the Sunday.
At present we have 11 cars (21 people) coming from France for the 2 days and would like to extend the invitation to everyone within the club and in particular the Kent region. Several of you that know me have already expressed an interest verbally and it would be fantastic if we could match the French in their numbers.

You are all more than welcome to join us for the entire weekend or any part of it.

The complete itinerary and times for the weekend are still to be finalised however the current plan is as follows.

It does sound like it could be good but two questions:

Why Wrotham - Wrotham to Goodwood = aaaarrrgh

Dinner at the HOliday Inn - these people are French.....

Your right for Goodwood it is not the ideal location but as we live in kent anyway not really an issue, they wanted me to arrange a drive around Kent as well for them so somewhere close to the M20 for getting to and from home (France) seemed to make sense.

I never realised how stupid the prices over here are now for accomodation, A good friend paid £80 per night in an old B&B just after xmas, in France we pay about £140 for a weekend 1 night in the chateau with 3 3 course meals including wine, so had to look for a sensible option price wise, best I could come up with was the Holiday Inn at £60, Hotel is very nice inside and they have promised me segregated parking for the Porsches which was another big concern, once on site seemed daft to have to drive or cab it somewhere else, Menu is set 3 course at £20 or a la carte for about £30 which seemed nice.

Let me know if you want the full details

Regards
