Gents,

Sent my pics and form off for Club Valuation last week (sent 38 of them, all the ones from this thread and more printed in a photograph shop :) :

Just out of interest anyone know how long this takes.. No hassle or anything like that just wondering as I am actually really interested in what it will be valued at.

Cheers

Ant

p.s. - so lets run a book - what do we think it will be valued at? MO30 suspension setup, FSH, Aircon, 84K 2.7 Lux, 16" Cup 1's, everything working, top body , etc etc etc :)

Should be pretty quick turnaround, there were problems with it being slow so if it's not back in a couple of weeks let me know.

Values are so spread out between rusty, smokin' dross and truly fantastic cars that it's very hard to know. On the basis of your description I'd say around £6K. Allowing for the fact that it's a car with rare options so you'd be hard pushed to find an equivalent, and then you'd need to allow money to bring it up to the same standard. Obviously, that's on the basis that you've described it totally honestly, as the insurers won't pay out on even an agreed value if they feel it wasn't accurate. For instance, if they found it was fourteen shades of pink and had no sills they'd not agree that the body was A1, or if the mileage wasn't verifiable. Not saying yours is dodgy, of course, just that people need to be very straight with their descriptions.

Hi Paul, Thanks for the reply... Will certainly let you know - but as I say that was no hassle or rush etc, just interested... [:)] Id be very happy with that valuation if it was around that value.. Ive certainly been honest and I sent in so many pics - I think they will get a good idea of the car.. Currently I'm insured in a 10k per year standard RAC insurance policy (pays market value etc) - Its up for renewal in the next few months (June I think) so I think I will then look for an agreed value policy etc.. Certainly makes sense - and I know that I wont be able to replace this 'as is' for 'market value' thats for sure. Cheers anyway Anthony

Even if you don't have an agreed value policy, by far the safest of course, it's still going to count for something that you've had the car officially valued before an accident. So many times people come to me asking for help as the insurers feel a mint car is only worth a few hundred pounds, but it's always a battle to push the value up after an incident.

Beautiful! Makes me sad/nostalgic about my prematurely departed baltic blue S2 - hunt for replacement continues.

Ant, Mine took 8 weeks, apparently the guy who does these also has a full time 'day job', hopefully the club have addressed the issues around previous delays and turnaround may be quicker for you... Edd

ORIGINAL: sc0tty Cheers Ant. Hope to see your car at the Kirtlington Porsche and Polo concours later in the year. You have nothing to lose !
I'll do you a deal - find me an uncracked blue dash - and ill take it [;)] hehe

ORIGINAL: sc0tty My blue dash is uncracked ! p.s I have the blue pinstripe interior too, but the FULL cloth option, so no blue leathertte bolsters sadly (which are probably far more practical the cloth ones!)
Right - good, I have found my dash.. Go on - get outside and start taking it out [:D]

I ticked yes - and then in the box put a mix of OPC and Specialist to Porsche spec.. You also have to send copies of service book pages anyway so not an issue I dont think
