I have received the following request from Johnny McGirl for assistance at the Club's 50th Anniversary Event at the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester - September 2011. I've highlighted the bit probably most relevant to R10.
"The task I am organising for Barry Smith is the manpower schedule for our main event on 3rd/4th September 2011 at Cirencester RAC, following site meetings and visits the event is coming on superb, it will be fantastic.
Manpower is of course very important for the success of our event, the requested offer of help will bring in return complimentary event entry pass [PLEASE SEE GEOFF'S AMENDING POST BELOW] and lunch and refreshments provided per day of help.
A half day (4.5 hours) is requested on 1 or both days please and you can choose your slot in your reply by stating AM or PM as appropriate. (event entry pass is daily).
Event build will begin on the Tuesday for PCGB section, any offer of help between Tuesday to Friday inclusive would also be grateful, I appreciate this is a lot to ask, it is obviously preferable to those living locally and with extra time to spare.
Regions are allocated a new marquee with 3 Regional cars per marquee parked adjacent, cars chosen by the respective RO in advance, Register parking is adjacent in Register display format for all other Porsches in attendance.
It is a large area and will allow plenty of cars and members alike for a great spectacle.
To proceed with your offer of manpower assistance please reply by email to myself John McGirl on Register@porscheclubgb.com
Best regards
John McGirl"
The Club doesn't run itself - it needs help from the members. If everyone chips in a little, they will get out alot (I know from experience) and will make the weekend more memorable.
Let me know if you can man the Region's area and/or provide a display (if we get one sorted).
