Clubsport Wheels - Refurb

Probably been done before chaps, and I know I've had my wheels powder coated before, and I know that skimming is not to be done. So based on that, is having them re-powder coated without skimming ok?

Again I know re-anodising is the correct method but can't be bothered with that. Ideally just want the powder coating re-done?

Lastly, they are magnesium, aren't they? And does that matter for powder coating?

Cheers

They aren't magnesium, but they are a less common aluminium alloy.

Can't really advise on refurbing, you need to take them to an expert imo. I didn't redo mine.

Although clubsports are rare 928 dustbin lids are the same wheel, you could machine a set of those.

Thanks. You definitely cannot machine the CS wheels as they are quite thin in the first place and there have been multiple reports of them breaking or fracturing after skimming. The tell tale is usually that the markings between the holes and the rim usually disappear...
