clunking air suspension

Evening

I went to see a 55 plate cayenne turbo today.
After a short drive we pulled into a layby and tested all the heights on the air suspension. When it went up it made quite a few clunking noises which the dealer said was just the fact it hadnt been high for ages, if ever.

Does this sound reasonable? Also the car didn't seem as "comfortable" as the last 03 plate i drove. It seemed to crash a bit on bumps and not be as smooth as others ive driven plus was pulling left slightly (could be camber of road)

Otherwise car was in very good condition but these small things niggle me that their might be a problem with the air suspension

any advice would be appreciated
thanks

Sounds like your analysis is right - needs attention!!
If the car is at an OPC they will surely put it right. If not, suggest you check some others for comparison first. Ours has air suspension and definitely doesn't make clunking noises (although sometimes the car levels out after a few seconds when you leave the vehicle, and the hiss can take you by surprise). Compared with our previous S which didn't have air, this one has a less bouncy ride, and the sports setting is excellent for press on motoring.

Good luck with the purchase, though.

Thanks for your reply

Have driven 4 hence I know this one doesn't drive quite right.

It's trade but not OPC. I've told them I'll buy the car if they get it inspected but they don't seem that bothered to have it looked at and get the impression they will let it sell as it is to someone who's not as critical as I am.

The hunt continues
