Hiya everyone,

Hope somebody can shed some light on my problem!!?? My 944 is making loud metalic clunking noises when i start to move the car forward just slowly as the wheels turn. Its coming from the under the rear, its an auto and still selects gear fine forward/reverse. I jacked car up and accerlerated the throttle at the wheels turned there seems to be a clunking/rattle coming from driveshaft/diff area on one side, so im not driving it now. im going to take it to a garage by trailer to have a look, but anybody have a clue of what it COULD be. Someone mention cv joints/driveshafts but im not good in that area, engines im fine with.
PLS help its really anoying
Cheers
Kelv

ps 944s at the best i love em lol

Sounds like the gearbox, mine did tha 2 days after buying the car, could be time for a new one. If your lucky it might just be a CV.
Get both back wheels in the air and turn one rear wheel and look to see if the other one turns or not to test gearbox.

Sounds like cv joints to me - my drivers side rear went last year and was a very, very loud clunking noise.
