clutch bleed

hi when you need to bleed the clutch do you really have to raise the back of the car up?.. i have an easy bleed, will that do it with out raising the back end changing the master cylinder was a doddle all this bleeding malarkey is a pain.. i have packed up for the day but will be back to it on thursday[:)]

I didn't, and I don't see how it'd make any difference.

Bleeding the cooling system is another matter, raising the front helps avoid airlocks.

If you have a pressure bleeder then its no problem...[:D][:D] Without it can be a real pain...

I had no trouble, but I did use a pressure bleeder. At least, she was pressuring me to hurry up as she was fed up with pushing the bleedin' pedal.....[&:]

You are lucky, when mine eventually deigned to come out & press the pedal, she is pumping up and down & the bleed nipple has dropped out with no fluid coming out. I eventually crawlout from underneath & find she is pumping the throttle pedal and before you ask no she isn't blonde & has been driving for 7 years[&o]
 
having now bled the clutch i have got to wait for my seats to come back from the trimmers to try it out

it feels quite light is this normal i have used easy bleed - put half a bottle of fluid through the system - and could see no bubbles so it should be ok i hope[8|]
