clutch failure

I had noticed recently that my clutch was difficult to operate and was engaging quite low on the pedal, when I got in the car last night the clutch pedal went straight to the floor and feels like there is no linkage ( there is no pressure to return the clutch pedal )
I stripped out the carpets and will be removing the timber panal cover around the pedal later, I just wondered if anyone had experienced this and what the problem might be ?
Any help appreciated.

Not experienced this exactly, but mine is sometimes not smooth & sticks before returning to the top.
Spoke to Roock Sportsystems when the car was in for the brakes last month & Michael explained it would most probably be the clutch piston in the master cylinder & at the same time it's worthwhile changing the cable.
Waiting for the cross-drilled rear disks to arrive & then I'll take the car up to have all the work done together.
The price was about 200euros for the parts, and shouldn't take long to fit.
Hope this helps & yours is as 'easy' to fix.
Hope also that mine lasts to go to the festival and back this weekend !!

Good luck,

Jon

Thanks for that it did indeed turn out to be the clutch master cylinder which has now been replaced & clutch feels fine

Good news Kevin.
Just had mine done with the cable also, and it's good also.
Also had a new starter motor (failed on my way to the Festival).
One of the bolts had broken & so the gearbox had to come out also......
Big bill (1200Euro), but could have been worse...only half was labour, and done in 1.5day, with rear brakes & clutch work.
More great (and fair) work done by Roock Sportsystems.....if you're ever in the area....well worth a visit.

Rgds,
Jon
