Ok here' s the deal...
Just had my gbox back from the rebuilders,
now my car has been badly (imho) turkeyfied in the past so I am being extra cautious that I do everything ' by the book' rather than just ' replacing/overhauling' what I find. Now when I took out the gearbox I decided to replace the clutch cable. Whilst looking for a definative procedure for installing/adjusting the cable I came across a mention of the ' clutch helper springs' , now I did not have one of these! (This maybe the cause of the pressure plate finger wear I have? or just the throwout bearing being worn?) But my question is, does a 901 box have a helper assembly like the 915 shown here
http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/911_clutch_cable/911_clutch_cable.htm
as I cannot find a pic.
My box seems to have the post for a spring assembly but nothing more...
A pic from under someones car would be a godsend... anyone fancy getting greasy?
