Clutch issue

HI all _my first post!

my 997 C2S gen 1 manual has 30000 miles and I've owned for a year from a Porsche main dealer (2 year warranty). I've done 8000 of those miles but don't use for city/short journeys.
Last weekend, on gear change, the clutch started returning 80% and then snapping back the last 20 cm a few seconds later _does anyone have similar experiance _the clutch is not slipping that i can notice.
hope its not the clutch replacement as i don't think this is waranty item?

You might need to get the release mechanism checked out. Could be a worn clevis pin, hinge or defective return spring. Test the clutch it by changing gear from a low to higher gear uphill, while accelerating - unless the engine races, the clutch is fine.

Regards,

Clive.

This might seem mad but I had something similar, maybe not as pronounced as you describe, but the floor mat was out of place and was catching on the pedal. On releasing the clutch pedal, it would come up and then i'd feel it flick a bit further up as it unhooked from the floor mat!

thanks for the the sugestion_i did notice that the floor mat was flicking up slightly, I will check more thoroughly this weekend[:)]
