Clutch pedal staying down

That's about it, it's not a sudden thing, it just seems to come back a little less each time, until it's impossible to change gear and I have to pull it back with my toes.

What I find odd is that whilst the end half is what is being used, you'd expect it to keep the clutch partially disengaged, and slippywhen driving, but it's not, it's still the "top-half operation" i.e. my foots to the floor (after omly a couple of inches of travel) and the clutch is still not letting go. It works fine when I hook it back up.

You don't say which model you've got...

Nothing over serious, it sounds like you have got air into the system..
There are the normal causes;
Slave Cylinder
Master Cylinder
Leak in pipe

Check out your clutch fluid level, I would suspect its dropped.

I didn't say which model I've got. I did this because I'm an arse.
