Clutch Problem 1994 968 Sport

Hi all

I am writing on behalf of my father who has a 1994 968 Sport.

He was driving yesterday and pulled up to a set of traffic lights and depressed the clutch to select neutral. However, the clutch pedal did not return to its normal position.

When the lights changed to green he tried to select 1st gear but could not (clutch pedal was still down)

He managed to get the clutch pedal to its normal position by levering it back with his foot and then he depressed it, selected 1st and everything worked perfectly for the rest of the journey (15 miles or so).

The car has done 55,000 miles - last clutch change was 15,000 miles ago.

Any ideas?

Thanks very much!! [:D]

The same thing happened on my car just after the clutch was replaced by an OPC. It is likely to be a problem with the master or slave cyliner seals struggling to maintain pressure.

However, it has not happened for a while so hopefully it has gone away [;)] I would get your Dad to get it checked out to be safe.
