Chaps, i've noticed for a while now my 944cab has an intermittant whine/humming noise (doesn't sound rattley like a bearing though) - definately from the engine and i'm convinced it can be felt slightly through the steering.
Now it's not there when she's stationary - cold or warm - but is there between 20-30 mph and upwards and comes and goes.
It doesn't increase with revs and it doesn't stop on cornering (i thought maybe the power steering but i've recently changed the fluid and it's no different so i don't think it's PS related).
It will stop however if i push the clutch pedal in, but release the pedal and in a short while it comes back.
She had a brand new complete clutch kit fitted two years back and has only done about 14k since.
Could it be there's air in the system or the clutch hydraulics/master cylinder/clutch fluid needs changing?
I also thought possibly front tyres but surely the noise would be there all the time?
Has anyone any suggestions?
