Clutch question

Hi,

I'm in the process of selling my car and the prospective buyer has had it inspected at JZ Machtec a few small niggles which I'm a bit surprised about given I'd just had it MOTed a month ago ... but the most disturbing thing is that the have said the following about the clutch

"Scraping noise from the clutch / bellhousing area, possible release bearing"

Now the car doesn't exhibit any signs whatsoever of any clutch problems, it pulls cleanly and even JZ Machtec have said it is not slipping.

So the question is... what if anything does this mean?? The potential buyer is understandable rather worried about this and thinks he's looking at a new clutch... sounds completely unreasonable to me considering the car is performing just fine.

Any light that anyone can shed would be very helpful :)

Thanks in advance

Mine has made this noise from when we bought it back in 1990. I wrote to Porsche about it at the time and asked about changing the type of oil used. See the reply dated 1991. 80000 miles and many years later, still on original clutch and the still same noises. Clutch fine. Darren.
