With the timing of a trapeze artist my car has made the occasional horrible clutch noise. As in screeching. Loud.
It’s only done it when cold and damp and has done it 7 or 8 times in total. It’s more likely to occur when changing down through the gears cruising at low revs. Another step on the clutch and it stops immediately and is fines.
No clutch slippage, no bad smell.
the Car was basically unused for a year whilst restored. Clutch Action is towards the top of travel on the pedal and feels healthy.
fluid change or is this symptomatic of spending winter wishing I had higher axle stands?
