cob webs

Hello, hello, yes the cob webs do need blowing away. My car has hardly moved since October apart from its annual trip to be fettled by Brian. I've now booked to go on the club's April factory visit, so looking forward to that and the required Autobahn driving to get there.

My wife went with me and I was a bit worried she'd get bored, but she reckoned it was one of the most fascinating weeks she's ever spent. Richard Watling is a brilliant organiser, and he is so well known that his face opens doors that are otherwise "verboten". We were met at the museum by Klaus Bischoff himself, who promptly took us on a tour of the museum workshops, strictly off limits to the public otherwise. Talk about VIP treatment! The Mercedes museum was great, and the Sinsheim place is simply jaw-dropping. I gather from speaking to Richard that he is trying to organise a trip to Glashutte as a side event (the revitalised home of the German watch industry) which for me would be the cherry on an already brilliant cake. Enjoy! [;)]

Hi all been just a quick introduction(couldn't find an introduction topic), sorry if its in the wrong place. I have been a member for a couple of years now but have not attended any meets/events. My 81' SC has been going through a major refurb mainly in the last year and is now finished as far as funds will allow at the moment.

Link to IB Forum topic, hope it works.

Anyway I'm on plan to collect the car on the 2nd March and hope to attend the Breakfast run on the 3rd, fingers crossed.

I have spoke with Scott a couple of times over email and my Mrs has worked beside Donald Hossack in the past who I have also emailed albeit some time ago.

Anyway looking forward to the breakfast run and meeting you guys, be gentle with the newbie.

Cheers

Alan
