My wife went with me and I was a bit worried she'd get bored, but she reckoned it was one of the most fascinating weeks she's ever spent. Richard Watling is a brilliant organiser, and he is so well known that his face opens doors that are otherwise "verboten". We were met at the museum by Klaus Bischoff himself, who promptly took us on a tour of the museum workshops, strictly off limits to the public otherwise. Talk about VIP treatment! The Mercedes museum was great, and the Sinsheim place is simply jaw-dropping. I gather from speaking to Richard that he is trying to organise a trip to Glashutte as a side event (the revitalised home of the German watch industry) which for me would be the cherry on an already brilliant cake. Enjoy! []
