Coffin arm ball covers

Hi all
Just a quick question before I take the plunge and purchase complete arms.
The car has just failed its M.O.T on a split ball joint dust cover on the offside front grrrr. This failure came in force January 2012
Can you get replacement covers? Or am I going to have to suck it and buy complete units as I would replace both sides. A very expensive option for a £5 dust cover.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

I don't know anyone who sells the dust cover on its own, but this is one of the cheaper places to buy the complete arm:

Balljoint dust covers are now widely available in various sizes in response to the change in the MOT regulations, just as they used to be years ago before 'progress'!

Or try

You might find one that fits

If it's just a split, can't it be repaired with super glue?

Clean the area with white spirit or Isopropyl Alcohol, apply the super glue sparingly to one surface, press the 2 sides together and hold for 30 seconds. Should do the trick for the MOT.

Regards,

Clive.
