Coilover kit and induction kit

Hi all,
Thinking of lowering my Porsche 944s and would like to be able to lower front and back, wondered if anyone has used any coilover kits other than kw, also would like to fit an induction kit. Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks in advanced

GAZ as supplied by EMC motorsport (their race developed valving and spring setup) makes a superb setup either in single adjust cheaper version or remote reservoir double adjust race version.

KW v3 is a superb product no doubt but no one I know of races with it, all the 944 or 968 race cars I have seen run either GAZ or something else like white power/moton probably much much more expensive again.

KW may appear fairly pricey but is it really that much more than alternatives? I've heard about KW costing £1200 including installation (not sure if that deal is still around though) which makes it only a few hundred quid more than the Gaz kit before installation. I'm sure Gaz is very good, but the benefit of KW is that its clever valving provides much less of a compromise between stiff suspension and compliant ride.

I dont' think that you'll get a coilover kit worth having for less than Gaz.

..and to pick up on the other bit, induction kit: Nobody AFAIK has managed to improve power with one of these. Best cost to noise raitio is the usual 1/2 way house i.e. to fit a K&N or Green panel in the standard box, which makes a raspier induction noise. Drilling holes, widening pipes etc does nothing on N/A 944s. The restrictions in the system are elsewhere.

Thanks for the replies, ok I will look at GAZ and KW, and as for the induction will look and the green panel filters. Thanks again for a great forum

GAZ sporting suspension is great for track and smooth road but if the spring rates are stiff and so is the damping the one massive benefit of the KW V3 system on the road over and above all the others is that the V3 includes a bypass valve so if your rock hard suspension hits a pot hole or speed bump etc it wont stuff the valving but bypasses it (especially good in a bend at speed so you arent launched sideways in an unsettled car)

That is primarily why KW V3 is so much better for the road. Its not a price thing its what is best.

I dont think the original poster is wanting to go racing, just lower there car...[;)]

Does not compute, does not compute [:D]. As someone we both know said to me the other week when I commented this thing sort of takes over your life, his reply was there is nothing else outside racing.
