cold induction kit

Hi everyone,

this is my first post so please go easy on me !

Bought myself a 54 plate 997 carrera S, after a lifetime of dreaming about owning a 911 [:)]
Loving the car, just wish it sounded a bit, well, meatier. Was wondering if the cold induction kit would give me a bit more of an induction roar, and imorove the sound. Anyone any experience with this ?


Also read about a "gundo hack" for the exhaust, essentially a pipe welded across the downpipe to the rear pipe, thereby bypassing the silencer. Again, anyone got any experience / views on this ?

A good induction kit improves the airflow into the engine, improving its low/medium speed performance it also tends to improve the sound significantly.

K&N do a really good induction kit that happens to free up some extra horses and gives a great induction noise.
EVOMS do a good one (Parr)
Fabspeed do a fabulous all carbon affair which is incredably loud and very pretty.
Also Porsche shop did my Eurocup induction (good for everyday balance between noise and being livable with on a motorway schlep) but this was focused more on performance with a livable nice noise - not sure if its productized yet but I think its the mutts....
