hi , is it possible to fit some type of aftermarket cold start setup to my car , it has had a full EFI upgrade but there doesn't appear to be any type of cold start managment
on startup i have to keep blipping throttle or hold it for 5 mins to get an idle - eventually ticks over 200rpm !, when she warms up she idles about 1200rpm which is annoying :-(

any ideas ? what to any other EFI guys out there have ?

cheers

johnny

Is the problem with the mixture or just the idle speed? I.e. if you crack the throttle open a bit does it idle smoothly or is the blipping required because it won't idle even with help from cracking the throttle?

i can usually hold it about 2k rpm until it warms up without blipping too much , takes a few minutes before i can let off the gas , then it will idle very low like 200rpm until it warms up and settles about 1200rpm ..........

make any sense ?

no control for cold at all ...........

My EFI is nearing completion and I was at the garage today for an update. They have confirmed their plan to is to plumb in an idle speed regulator for cold start purposes. Sorry I do not have more information, but would expect to be able to provide more in the next couple of weeks.
