just saying Hi new to the forum,

collecting a 718 gt4 from teeside OPC tomorrow, with clubsport, cermamic breaks, bucket seats, carbon interior And a load of other options. its black and with gold wheels. 1600 miles on the clock. Swapping out a 2012 c2s in guards red. Wondering if anyone knows the car? Last 3 letters of plate are zdn.

Hi Peter,

Sorry, don’t know the car but it sounds brilliant! You’ll have to share some photos.

Welcome to the forum - have you joined the club yet? Look forward to meeting up and seeing the car.

All the very best with it.

Gordon.

Very smart Peter … good to see that gold wheels are back in fashion.

Unfortunately not ideal weather to pick-up a black car. Hope you’ve got plenty of cleaning stuff in! [;)]

Enjoy!

Jeff

Stunning car Peter. I must admit I do love those alloys. When I picked up my 981 GTS yesterday, Redline had 3 in with that style.

What are your initial thoughts after life in your old c2?

Hi it’s so much more of a drivers car and seems a lot more balanced. Think it is on a different level to the c2s. The gear change is brilliant. Bucket seats will take some getting used to getting in and out. Sounds is ok but can tell the gpfs muffle it more than it should. Love the newer pcm too. I think I may well keep this for a very long time.

its booked in for a ppf front end, skirts, roof and intakes with auto skin on Thursday to keep it looking immaculate.

i am hoping the value of it remains steady, but if not so be it.

Sounds like a great start Peter! I know what you mean about the buckets, I sat in one of the GT4s yesterday and whilst I’m a fairly fit 48yo, I think it would be interesting until the technique was sorted! But once in, they are surprisingly comfy.

With regards to depreciation, I’d say enjoy the car, which I’m sure you will. I was similar when searching trying to narrow down to a marque, model, derivative and spec that would result in slow depreciation. I think Porsche, something that starts with GT and you’re on to a winner. And as you say, it is what it is. I think the perma grin and rush that car will create is priceless. It would also be a long term keeper for me as well! Enjoy!
