Can anyone confirm whether my 924 is a Sapphire Metallic?

Thanks
Dan

Hello Dan, I notice that Sapphire Metallic isn't listed on the 1985 MY list

Take a look in the boot; if you uncover the spare wheel you may find a sticker with a colour coding on it.

You will find it (at least this is where mine is) on the rear panel between the n/s/r light cluster and the spare wheel.

Mine is 'LM3A' which is Guards Red - let me know what yours says and I'll find out what it's called

Erm, you sure it's not there Paul? [8|]

Unfortunately my 924 is stickerless, hence the need to ask.

Doh!
Sorry about that Dan
What am I on? [8|] I typed that list as well - must have gone colourblind for a while [;)]

If you still have the original Drivers Manual you will find an identical sticker in there (mine is on page 96)

There must be someone out there with that colour, get them to show you their sticker [:)]

only have history from the last 10 years unfortunately, with no manual. i seem to remember there was a virtually identical 924 in the concours at Eynsham Hall last year - will have to keep my eyes peeled at Brands Hatch!

Re 1984 MY, I had a car delivered new Apr '84 in Alpine white, so that was definitely a standard colour (just an error in the listing I assume) and although I had the pinstripe seats, I am sure only Pintsripe or Porsche logo were the options and not Pasha (but I did later own a 1982 SC with Pasha). Would still like to own a 924 again if a nice one is out there, so if anyone has seen an A, B or C reg with this spec drop me a line, mx@alans.co.uk.

Hi Paul, excellent reference work. If it helps anyone I've got L90E on my sticker, which should be Alpine white.

I needed to know as the sunroof panel is about to be resprayed. I'll let you know how it goes.

............. Phil
