Column switch

Does anyone now if the column switch from a std 996 will physically fit the 996T, switch configuration not withstanding? 996 Non computer non cruise £87, 996t+Computer £230 odd. I would happily but the std switch and put the computer actuator on it; in such pictures I can find it seems that the std switch has the mounting lug for the computer toggle switch. Bit of a pain, the left hand turn signal doesn't self-cancel, the right hand turn signal does not latch in properly and more often than not cancels itself immediately. I found a small plastic tag on the driver's side carpet when I vacuumed the interior the other day and I am thinking that the tag has come from the column switch.

Yes, the column switches for all 986 and 996 models are interchangeable. The OBC stalk is the only one which is detachable, and has it's own connection plug on a fly lead. The cruise stalk also has a fly lead, but the switch is integral to the stalk assembly. 4-stalk units are cheaper than 3-stalk (go figure).

I noticed that disparity in price Richard. Makes no sense at all. Can I politely enquire as to whether you are Richard Hamilton of the 996 Buyers Guide? I hope I haven't embarrassed myself by asking.

Almost - it is the "996 Ultimate Owners Guide". Available from Amazon and all good booksellers....... (Another shameless plug!)
