Coming back to a Cayenne

I have placed my deposit & specced up a New Cayenne S for delivery Sept/Oct.

I have been a CT owner 2 years ago & loved the car, but the running costs were obscene & got rid after 9 months of ownership.

We jumped into a X5 diesel & even though it is a very nice vehicle & gets ok mileage, we missed the Cayenne terribly.

Well, the facelift has arrived & I have cancelled my deposit & order for the new X5 & coming back to the wonderful Cayenne.

The reason for the delay in my order is that the Sport Design kit will not be available until 07/07 so we will wait and take a 08 MY.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new model in the metal on the preview evening, i'm sure I wont be dissapointed.

We were wondering whether or not to opt for the V6 model but after looking at the fuel consumption figures between the V6 & S & then considering the power gain in the S model it was a no brainer.

out of interest, has anyone ever had much luck in getting a discount form Porsche on a New vehicle?
I think it's easier to get blood out of a stone.

Welcome back .....

If it's any consolation, the new 'S' is supposed to be more powerful but more economical than the outgoing one. Given our 19mpg overall, a 10% improvement should give us 21mpg - whoppee!

March delivery promised...

No that is a serious reply look in The S T this week .Will probably be under Mercedes Section if not in Porsche. If it is not there and YOU are serious mail me.

been there, done it, got the t-shirt.
I would only ever consider doing it again if I was keeping the car for 5years+
It is just so difficult to move the car on at a good price, the stigma of imports is alive & well in the UK even though the cars can be identical to OPC UK spec.

Things have changed no longer are Porsche residuals rock solid. When you look at the prices of 3 year old kn's with the warranty expired I would be very surprised if
imports were discounted . I have never had any problem selling an imported car even to an OPC. But you pays ya money an takes ya pick.I'd keep £10 Grand in the bank rather than give it to Porsche for the same car.If the press are to be believed they dont need the extra these days and should sell RHD for the same price as LHD.

no discount but lots and lots of extras and freebies(i use the term loosely) like baseball hats, a suitcase, zymol kit, car mats, porsche video, poster, umbrella, car cover +[:D]

I managed to blag a free track day with instructor to experience any Porsche, we chose the Cayenne S for obvious reasons.
Plus a Autoglym Lifeshine treatment.
I would have preferred a % discount though.

However, it is better than nothing & I wouldn't want to seem ungrateful [:D]

Did you see the add yesterday? 12% OFF UK LIST.
Buys a lot af track days and brollies
Cheers
