afternoon all,
i can't remember what i called myself when i was on here but i sold my black turbo just over a year ago, then made the switch to a bmw zmcoupe, but am glad to say i am about to get yet another black 951!
i was conveniently in glasgow on business and saw this http://pistonheads.com/ads/41075.htm - it's a beauty. I take charge of it in about 4 weeks, i can't wait.
very excited, sure you'll be hearing from me
Matt

It is stephen's - what a nice guy and what a fabulous car! He really has lavished some love (and money) on it.
It's going to get some cup mirrors, a CS wheel, and the rear spoiler painted panther black and the seats re-connollised as a little present. Then it really will be one of the best around. What an awful lot of car for the money.

Welcome back Matt,

Your a lucky man to have got Stephen's car, I have recently been on the hunt for a replacment for my 951 & that would have been my car of choice had I been able to streatch the funds further. A fantastic example.

He's probably trying to log in now to respond - I can see the error message: "Unable to post - head too large"[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Stephen is on here as Slim_Boy_Fat, Matt. It is a nice car.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Welcome aboard Matt, it's always nice to be able to follow a car from owner to owner.

Try to spend less money on it than Slim did [;)] but I see you've already started [:D]

Thanks everyone. I'm sure you'll be hearing plenty more from me. I'm so looking forward to being back in a 951, especially this one. And if 'Slim' is logging in - "I'll look after it!"

Welcome back to porkyownership. It is indeed a smashing example (I've passengered in it a couple of times).

He did say he still had a few weeks to rag the nuts off it. (Joke [;)] )

Thanks Mik,

I can't believe that Stephen would ever 'rag the nuts' off his baby...though it did only take a blink of an eye before 100mph came up...i think he's done that before...

On another point entirely, can anyone tell me why i come up as a non-member, when I've had my pack through and needed my membership number to register on the forum????

cheers

Matt

Nah - joking aside I know Stephen liked to use the performance of the car, but only once all fluids were up to temp and he'd confirmed the correct reading flicking up on the AFM etc. You definately (soon will) have a well cared for car sir. [:)]

It is "a bit nippy" though isn't it? Stephen was kind enough to give my S2 the once over before I parted with my hard-earned, and we went in his car. A large sports bike (with pillion) tried to undertake us on the motorway, and Stephen mashed the pedal at around 70 in 5th. Not sure what speed we reached, but we kept the bike very honest. [8D]
